Chem21Labs is committed to providing high quality online content at an economical price. The use of Chem21Labs begins with a 30-day free access period - at the end of 30 days, accounts are suspended until payment is made via credit card (Discover, AMEX, Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, or access code (purchased at campus bookstore).

Some universities use Vital Source, a first day program where the cost is applied to the student's school bill. Student accounts at Vital Source universities are active from the first day of class until the last day of class. Students that "opt-out" of the Vital Source payment option will have their account suspended after 30 days until payment is made.

If payment is made and the student drops the class before they have accessed and submitted work on 30% of the assignments, they can request a full refund. After work has been submitted on more than 30% of assignments, no refund is given.’
